Online Spanish Cooking Class with a Culinary Expert in Madrid

Maybe you aren’t ready to head to Madrid at the moment, but you can still cook authentic Spanish dishes from the comfort of your own home in this online tapas cooking class that will whet your appetite for more!

Mireia is a native Madrileña, food & wine expert, and culinary guide who has been offering cooking classes and gourmet food tours in Madrid for many years. Mireia, who speaks perfect English, will lead you in a 60 – 90 minute virtual cooking class via the Zoom app. Each class will feature traditional Spanish tapas recipes perfect for making at home.

Our International Kitchen virtual travelers can book individual tapas lessons with Mireia, or a 4-part course sequence to prepare a wider variety of Spanish dishes. Contact us to learn more about the 4-course sequence which can feature: tapas, paella, cold soup, vegetarian courses, meat and fish dishes, as well as desserts.

The online tapas cooking classes are Saturdays generally 2:00 PM Eastern Time, for a minimum of 6 people (for clients on other continents, please contact us to find a time). Or, get 6 of your friends together and you can have an online cooking class any day you like. Classes must be booked a minimum of 48 hours prior to allow enough time to purchase ingredients.

Upon booking the online cooking class you will be sent a list of recipes with ingredients and kitchen tools you will need for the class. Each student will receive a PDF recipe booklet for that day’s dishes.

Sample tapas menu (subject to change):

• Spanish omelet
• Fried calamari with garlic mayonnaise in “bocata” (Spanish sandwich)
• Garlic shrimp or mushrooms
• Baby meatballs in Spanish sauce

As a bonus, if you book one of our online cooking classes we’ll extend a $40 discount per attendee toward any of our cooking vacations if you travel with us in 2020 or 2021!
