Venice (Lido) – Lesson with Chef Marika

On the beautiful Lido, Chef Marika teaches authentic Venetian cooking with a cosmopolitan and personal twist inspired by her impressive professional experience. There are three options for your day.

The traditional cooking class begins at 10:30 am in Marika’s kitchen, where you will learn how to cook a multi-course meal, some recipes of which have been featured in Food and Wine magazine. No matter what the menu, expect to use fresh herbs grown in Chef Marika’s garden as well as local products. The class will end around 2:30.

Your full-day cooking class starts at 9:30 am with a visit of the Rialto Market to select ingredients and to learn about Venetian market life. You then travel by private boat to the Lido for your class, which will include an expanded menu. Your day will end around 4:30.

The cicchetti class starts at 4:00 pm and includes a menu of 6-8 Venetian appetizers (“cicchetti”) served in the garden with Venetian Spritz and Bellini.

Those who book a particular date first will choose which menu they’d like to create during the traditional or full-day class. Please inquire for sample dishes! The menu options include: Vegetable-Lovers’ Menu, Homemade Pasta, Fish Menu, Summer Menu, Venetian Menu, Milanese Menu, and Pizza, Bread, and Gelato menu. Be sure to mention your menu choice at the time of booking. (The cicchetti class uses a set cicchetti menu.)
