Genoa is the perfect destination to begin your Ligurian culinary expedition.
Learn to prepare traditional Genovose dishes in a hands-on cooking class with Enrica, a native Genovese, local food blogger fluent in English and Spanish, and an experienced cook. Enrica’s cooking lessons take place in the city center at her beautiful home with stunning city and sea views, and we offer 2 different options for our culinary travelers.
Genoa “Market to Table” Cooking Lesson
Visit the incredible Mercato Orientale with Enrica for a 2 hour guided food tour with tastings. You will also select fresh local ingredients for your 3 hour hands-on cooking lesson in Enrica’s beautiful home. Local wine and antipasti will be served during your lesson. Lunch will be based on your efforts including a delicious dolce (dessert) and digestivo. Enjoy your culinary efforts on the terrace afterwards, weather permitting.
Italian Riviera Cooking Lesson – groups of 6 to 8 people only
This more intensive 4-hour hands-on cooking lesson in Enrica’s home kitchen skips the market visit but none of the deliciousness! You will prepare a complete Italian Riviera menu featuring: a pesto lesson, handmade pasta, savory pie, and an Italian dolce (dessert). Local wine and antipasti included. Enjoy your culinary efforts on the terrace afterwards, weather permitting.
