Luxury L’Andana Food Vacations Details
When people dream of Tuscany, they often conjure images of villas situated among miles of cypress trees and olive groves. That’s exactly what you’ll find in Maremma, the southwestern area of Tuscany, but along with those picturesque green rolling hills, you’ll also discover a piece of Italy unlike any other: natural thermal baths, black rocks, beaches that stretch for miles along the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian Seas, Etruscan ruins, marshes, flat lands, and groves of thick trees.
Among this wild beauty, discover the charming town of Castiglione della Pescaia, once an old fishing port. Today, boats still dock in the quaint port canal. Located just a few miles from the sea and town, your accommodations are the luxury hotel L’Andana, which is situated on 500 hectares of land about two hours from Pisa. Co-owned by ‘King of the French chefs’ Alain Ducasse, L’Andana is countryside resort. Previously a hunting lodge, the sprawling estate today consists of a villa with elegant rooms, consecrated church, and an ancient farm. When not cooking or exploring the area, relax in their ESPA spa. The property also boasts three pools, two restaurants including the Michelin-starred Trattoria Toscana, golf practice area, winery, and, of course, miles of cypress trees and olive groves.
