Enjoy a cooking class featuring Tuscan recipes with Chef Silvia, the matriarch of the family-run estate where we have our best-selling Cooking Under the Tuscan Sun cooking vacation. (If unavailable, one of Chef Silvia’s other chefs will lead the class.) The kitchen is located in a charming building on the estate, and the cooking class will increase your understanding of Italian cuisine.
A sample menu for one of your classes might include recipes based on Frances Mayes’s famous stay in Tuscany immortalized in the book and movie “Under the Tuscan Sun,” such as: eggplant roll with prosciutto and mozzarella, pici pasta with tomatoes and herbs, beef loin with shallots and balsamic, and poached pear with cheese and sabayon.
- Morning lesson, followed by lunch with wine.
