Custom Day Tour – Shepherd for a Day
Discover the secrets of the Idiazabal cheese taking part in a workshop to prepare curds and/or fresh cheese, some of them made with a set of wooden tools reproducing the ancestral knowledge that harkens back to the Neolithic Age.
Next, share the daily chores of a shepherd (to be confirmed, depending on the season): milking the sheep, bottle-feeding the lambs, or feeding the flock by hand. And of course, enjoy also watching the skill of the shepherd dogs managing the native herd of Latxa sheep.
The activity will finish with a tasting of cheese with txakoli wine.
2-hour shepherd experience (located approximately 1 hour from Bilbao each way)
