Hands-On Amalfi Coast Cooking Vacations

Pool at the Villa Romana hotel on the Amalfi CoastThe town of Minori has been well renowned for pasta making since medieval times and since the 17th-century invention of the “‘ngegni,” a device which made mass pasta production possible. This turned every available public and private space in Minori, even the sea-front promenades, into an outdoor display of fresh-made pasta drying in the sun: macaroni, ‘ndunderi, cocce, cannarocini, vermicelli, and tagliarelli.

Today, this centuries-old tradition is part of the living culture that makes Minori a perfect base for Amalfi Coast cooking vacations. Nestled in a stunning inlet along the Amalfi Coast, Minori offers both beauty and heritage. Here, guests can enjoy hands-on cooking classes and authentic culinary vacations that celebrate local cuisine, fresh mozzarella, olive oil, seafood, seasonal vegetables, and delicious wine. Beyond the kitchen, the region’s treasures unfold: the ruins of the 1st-century Villa Romana, the excavation of Pompeii, the clifftop terraced gardens of Ravello and Villa Rufolo, and the seaside charm of Amalfi, with its grand cathedral and bustling main piazza. You might also choose to head to historic Sorrento, relax in sunlit gardens, or take an excursion to Capri and perhaps discover the famous Blue Grotto.

Highlights of the Amalfi Coast Culinary Vacation

Your authentic Amalfi Coast cooking vacation includes hands-on cooking classes and guided excursions along the stunning coast. Learn to prepare seasonal Italian dishes featuring fresh pasta, seafood, vegetables, olive oil, and cheese, then enjoy them with local wine, Prosecco toasts, and classic desserts.
