Naples Culinary Tours: A Gastronomic Journey in Sant'Agnello di Sorrento & the Amalfi Coast
Indulge in the flavors of southern Italy on an unforgettable Naples food tour that brings together Sorrento food tours, the dramatic Amalfi Coast, and the vibrant streets of Naples itself. This carefully designed culinary journey takes you through the scenic Sorrentine Peninsula, along the Amalfi Coast’s breathtaking views, and into the heart of Naples’ historic center. Whether you choose the luxury option with sea-front accommodations in Sant’Agnello di Sorrento or a more intimate B&B in the center of Sorrento, each version of the tour offers a rich mix of culture, history, and delicious food.
Throughout these food tours, you’ll explore iconic destinations such as Amalfi, Positano, and the island of Capri, while enjoying hands-on cooking classes, visits to local markets, and tastings with artisanal producers. From iconic street foods to regional wines and family-run restaurants, the experience highlights both classic flavors and hidden gems. Guided visits to Pompeii’s ancient ruins, foodie excursions through the surrounding area, and time to connect with local people ensure a deep dive into authentic southern Italian life. These tours are well suited for couples, friends, and even solo travelers, with flexibility to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies.
Uncover the Magic of Naples
Naples, Italy’s third-largest city, is warm, energetic, and full of stories. Set along the Gulf of Naples beneath Mount Vesuvius, the city blends centuries of history with a lively Neapolitan culture that’s best discovered on foot. During your Naples food tour, you’ll explore the historic center, wander through atmospheric neighborhoods like the Spanish Quarter, and uncover corners of the city often missed by visitors following the beaten path.
Culinary highlights include a pizza-making class where you’ll learn to prepare the legendary classic Margherita, a gelato course, and tastings of traditional Naples food featuring fresh seafood, handmade pasta, and slow-simmered sauces. Meals are paired with carefully selected local wines, from crisp whites to robust reds, enjoyed at neighborhood restaurants and cafés loved by locals. Whether strolling Naples’ lively streets with a knowledgeable tour guide, taking a boat trip to Capri, or exploring Amalfi, Positano, and Ravello, you’ll experience the rhythm of daily life, share meals around the table, and discover why this region is one of Italy’s most appreciated culinary destinations.

- Capri has been inhabited since prehistoric times, later becoming a Greek colony and an imperial retreat during the early Roman Empire. It was home to Emperor Tiberius, whose Villa Iovis has been excavated. Over the centuries, residents moved from the coast to higher ground for safety. Capri eventually became part of the Abbey of Montecassino and later the Kingdom of Naples. Its layered history is visible throughout the island’s ruins and monuments. Please note also that if you opt for the B&B accommodations, this will be a shared small-group boat excursion.)

- During your Naples food tour and cultural discovery, you will stop for tastings of typical Neapolitan street food such as “pizza a portafoglio,” “pizza fritta,” “cuoppo,” and the delicious dessert “sfogliatella.”
