Long the territory of the landed gentry, the Veneto is still dotted with gorgeous old estates, including the Villa Cordevigo, which is now a 5* luxury hotel and part of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux group. It will be your home during this unforgettable luxury culinary tour in Italy.
From the fertile plains of the Po River to the charming towns of Verona and Borghetto, the Veneto offers breathtaking views at every turn. And the gastronomy is just as perfect! This is one of Italy’s premier wine-producing regions, making it a perfect destination for our Italy wine tours and luxury Italy cooking vacations. And its cuisine is in some ways traditional of Northern Italian cuisine, but influenced by the nearby Adriatic, by the Dolomite mountains, and by the river valley.

One of the highlights of our luxury cooking vacation Italy in the Veneto region is the beautiful estate that will be your home away from home. Enjoy a luxurious stay and some of Italy’s best and most authentic food and wine.
Itinerary

Day One
- Arrival transfer from Verona rail station, and check in at the stunning 5 * Villa that will be your home during your food and wine tour of Italy. Free time to enjoy the enchanting grounds or the luxurious spa.
- This evening the Villa’s resident tour manager Paolo will welcome you with an aperitivo and a short history of the villa and this part of the region.
- Dinner this evening at the Villa’s casual Bistro restaurant (May to September, beverages not included), or at another local restaurant in other months.
Day Two
- Breakfast, then transfer about 40 minutes away to nearby Sirmione for your first cooking class at a nearby agriturismo. In summer months start by picking vegetables in the garden. You might learn some of the local stuffed pastas, or other regional dishes. Lunch will be based on what you have prepared with a tasting of 3 wines produced on the farm. The entire experience will last about 3 1/2 hours.
- Transfer back and this afternoon meet Paolo once again for a visit of the villa’s vineyards on your Italy wine tour. You can either walk or bike around the vineyard and learn the secrets of cultivation. Learn about the effect of the seasons on the vine’s production, then see the wine-making process in the cellars. Finally, enjoy a wine tasting in the tasting room to round our the wine tour.
- Dinner tonight in a typical local restaurant, transfers included (beverages not included. Please note there may be a surcharge if you plan to return after 10pm).
Day Three
- Breakfast and a free day at your disposal. You might want to explore the villa’s grounds, spend a day at the spa, or arrange additional excursions to local areas of interest.
- Dinner this evening is at the Michelin-star restaurant of the Villa, the Ristorante Oseleta, one of the highlights of this culinary tour of Italy (beverages not included).
Day Four
- After breakfast, depart for the romantic city of Verona, where you will enjoy a tour of the main sites of the city, including a stop at Romeo and Juliet’s balcony!
- Pizza lunch in Verona.
- After lunch head to the well-known Zymé winery on your Italy wine tour. Learn how they produce Valpolicella wine, and enjoy a wine tour and wine tasting.
- Return to the villa and dinner on your own. (There are a number of wonderful restaurants within a short drive of the hotel, and transfers can be arranged by the front desk.)
Day Five
- Breakfast and a free day at your disposal to enjoy the villa, its grounds, and the spa.
- Dinner on your own.
Day Six
- Breakfast, then depart for a very special and authentic experience during your culinary tour of Italy at the home of “Nonna Antonia,” where you will enjoy a cooking lesson in a private home.
- Lunch will be based on your efforts at Nonna Antonia’s home.
- After lunch, head to Valeggio, the home of “tortellini” pasta, and Borghetto, named one of Italy’s 100 most beautiful villages.
- Back at the villa, dinner tonight will be at the Michelin-star Ristorante Oseleta (beverages not included).
Day Seven
- Breakfast and departure transfer to the Verona rail station.

The accommodations for the week will be at the stunning 5* Villa Cordevigo. You enter the property through a cypress-lined drive that leads to the gorgeous 18th-century villa, which was historically the residence of noble families of the area. Each family added to the beauty—frescoes, art works, wine cellar, gardens—and the result is a magical place full of old-world beauty, new-world comfort, and charm. The hotel also boasts stunning grounds, a large swimming pool, spa, and of course the Michelin-star “Oselata" restaurant. It became a part of the prestigious “Relais & Chateaux" group in 2017.
The elegant rooms and suites combine fine fabrics, classic furnishings, marble and terra cotta bathrooms, and time-honored sophistication. All rooms have heating/air-conditioning, free WiFi, satellite TV, minibar, exclusive amenities, bathrobe, slippers, and more. The Elegance rooms run 31-39 square meters with a view of the park, queen bed (or two twin), sitting area, and bath with hydromassage tub. The junior suites are 40-46 square meters with queen bed (or two twin), wonderful views, separate sitting area, and marble or terracotta bathrooms with double shower.
