Greve in Chianti

Next > < Previous

Home to the famed medium-bodied red wine, the Chianti area offers a relaxing atmosphere and breathtaking unspoiled countryside views. This exclusive Tuscany cooking vacation is based in the Tuscan countryside just outside of Greve in Chianti, located between Florence and Siena.

On this Chianti cooking school vacation, relax among the picturesque vineyards and olive trees – the same ones that populate so many postcards depicting the region – as you satisfy your taste buds and desire to learn Italian cooking with the many culinary flavors and treasures that Chianti has to offer.

About your Tuscany cooking vacation accommodations: Your home for four nights is the kitchen-equipped farmhouse and B&B, Le Cetinelle, which is located 5 kilometers from Greve in Chianti and has recently been restored by your hosts, Simonetta and Kalinka, for the sole purpose of housing guests for unforgettable culinary vacations. This peaceful retreat is also just a stone's throw from the Park of San Michele, one of the most beautiful parks in all of Chianti.

About the Chianti cooking lessons: For Chef Simonetta, sharing her passion for Tuscan food is a dream come true. Originally from the region of Liguria, Simonetta fell in love with Chianti’s vineyards and olive trees and has happily called it home for the last 20 years. Additionally, she has undergone professional training to expertly teach culinary guests who stay at her beautiful bed and breakfast. The classes are held in the kitchen of Simonetta's home, a charming and very authentic and personal experience. Using fresh vegetables from her garden, homegrown olive oil and wine, you will learn true Tuscan cooking through a hands-on experience with Simonetta, making complete menus from appetizers to desserts. You will come away from your time spent here with new Tuscan friends!
