Before you arrive in the kitchen though, there’s also the experience of arriving at in Chianti for your cooking vacation in Tuscany. Traveling from Florence, you will first traverse the countryside of Chianti, with all its amazing vineyards, before your host will welcome you like family.. While the family property has been restored to a charming 3-bedroom B&B, you’ll see the local charm has been retained, creating an atmosphere that’s comfortable and relaxing.

Then it’s on to the kitchen, where you’ll discover even more of the spirit of Andrea, who considers himself a culinary guide. Through his classes, some of which take place outside in the garden, he will share the history and richness of the Chianti area’s cuisine, and share recipes that have largely been lost through the centuries. TIK president Richard called his meal with Andrea one of his most memorable meals ever!
To help you further understand what you’re putting on the table, you’ll get to select some of the ingredients directly from local suppliers, providing an opportunity to learn about the origins of what you’re eating.
But cooking and eating food is not a standalone activity, especially in a place like Italy. It’s also more than a social one too. The culinary vacation will include plenty of cultural excursions as well!
You’ll leave feeling like family too!
