The very landscape of London is a monument to British history, packed with buildings dating back as far as the Roman Empire. The markets and cobbled drives will transport you to a period of the city’s past which feels more adjacent to a Charles Dickens novel than anything you’ve encountered in real life. You will be able to experience the unique thrust and flow of the bustling London streets firsthand, all under the tutelage of a practiced guide.
Our best London Food Tour will include cultural excursions and sightseeing, while also allowing you time to explore on your own during your visit. Take a ride on the underground or simply wander the sprawling streets to your heart’s content. A cooking class featuring local delicacies will leave you inspired to recreate your favorite dishes once you return home. Itinerary

Day One
- Arrive in London and transfer to your centrally located hotel.
- Enjoy a private evening tour of London’s Borough Market, south of the Thames by London Bridge. Taste a bounty of treats, including exceptional charcuterie, many fine cheeses, fresh oysters and scallops, hot street snacks, fine chocolate, Sicilian cannoli, and much more, whilst hearing the stories behind these fabulous artisanal foods.
- Overnight.
Day Two
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- Head into the country today. Surrey has fine producers and beautiful countryside. Begin your day with a visit to a stunning Gin Distillery. Enjoy a tour, a history of gin and try various products, including Navy Strength Gin – and discover why it’s called Navy Gin!
- Afterwards, you’ll be ready for your visit to an award winning English Sparkling Wine producer, enjoying local cheeses and charcuterie.
- Finish the day with dinner in one of England’s finest country pubs in The Surrey Hills (Cost of dinner paid locally).
- Overnight.
Day Three
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- Today is about sourcing and preparing your own food with a market tour and cookery class.
- Take a guided tour of the superb Portobello Road and surrounding Notting Hill area. Taste authentic Italian and Spanish treats such as fine hams, cheeses, olives, wine and samples from artisan market stalls. Unearth culinary treasures, including exotic spices, luxurious sweet treats, chocolate, cookbooks, tableware, and much more.
- This afternoon you will take a Cookery Class at a cooking school in Wandsworth, where we can design your own speciality class, with expert chefs in a state-of-the-art kitchen. Some of your options include learning to make the legendary Beef Wellington from scratch (advanced class) or preparing the classic Fish & Chips with Mushy Peas (not traditional garden peas but marrowfat peas). Or you may want to focus on baking, and learn to make a classic Afternoon Tea with scones, jam and clotted cream, and Battenburg Cake. (Additional cooking classes are available on request).
- Evening at leisure
- Dinner on your own, overnight.
Day Four
- Breakfast at the hotel, morning at leisure.
- At 12pm enjoy a visit to the historic and awe-inspiring buildings of Middle Temple . You will feel as though you are going back in time as you walk down cobbled lanes flanked with gas street lamps towards one of the finest Elizabethan Halls in the country.
- The tour will take you into Middle Temple Hall with its magnificent double-hammer beam roof which was completed in 1573. Generations of royalty have all dined on our 29ft oak High Table – reputedly a gift from Elizabeth I herself. Sir Walter Raleigh and Sir Francis Drake have been known to dine in the Hall. It is also said that the first-recorded performance of Twelfth Night took place in the Hall in 1602.
- Enjoy lunch in one of London‘s Inns of Court during the visit.
- Rest of your afternoon at leisure
- This evening, visit Dishoom, for an amazing curry (Britain‘s favorite food). Dishoom at Kings Cross is a truly stunning Bombay style cafe with incredible food (Cost of dinner paid locally).
Day Five
- Breakfast and transfer to the airport. (If you would like to add extra nights, that can easily be arranged for you.)

Classes & InstructorsYour cooking class on your culinary vacation in England will take place at a local cooking school offering a selection of classes you can choose from. You will cook a full dinner menu that includes a main course, side dishes, and dessert.
This cooking class will be a fully interactive and inclusive culinary experience, carefully organized and curated to your specifications. When you arrive for class, you will be given a glass of wine before joining the chef for a full demonstration of the menu. Afterward, get hands on experience in the kitchen under the guidance of your instructor, all the while enjoying a full glass of wine.
Following your class, you will enjoy the fruits of your labor together, paired with the still flowing wine.
