Burgundy is one of the most famous wine regions in the world, an area abounding in history and natural beauty. On our food and wine tours in Burgundy you can visit such cultural sites such as the Hospices of Beaune, the cathedral of Dijon, and the Ducal Palace in Dijon. Or, simply wander the picturesque cobble-stoned streets and alleyways, feeling as though you have stepped back in time.
Burgundy is also a region known for its gastronomy, as you will discover during your delicious lunches and dinners. Some of France’s most iconic dishes hail from Burgundy, such as coq au vain, boeuf Bourguignon, gougéres, duck rillettes, escargot de Bourgogne, and that famous French dessert, tart tatin.
The medieval city of Dijon is a true gem. Situated in northern Burgundy, the historic city is only an hour and a half by train from Paris. Dijon offers a little bit of everything, including its world-famous mustard! It is known as the city of Dukes, but it also has a vibrant contemporary art and music scene, with plenty of galleries and concerts to tempt you. Many consider Dijon one of France’s best kept secrets, a place full of history, charm, and wonderful food and wine to explore on our Burgundy wine tasting tours.
A Burgundy wine tour is the perfect accompaniment to any culinary tour in France. After exploring the glories of Paris neighborhoods or other regions, head to the rolling vineyards of Burgundy and its charming towns for a slice of authentic French life.

Burgundy Culinary Vacations and Wine Tours - Itinerary

Day One
- Arrival at Dijon train station and transfer to your hotel in the heart of town.
- Tonight you will enjoy a 3-course tasting dinner at a local restaurant within walking distance of your hotel (beverages included).
- Overnight.
Day Two
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Meet your driving guide for a full-day tour of the Grand Cru vineyards of Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuit. Drive through the countryside and visit authentic family producers on this private tour that is designed just for you! You will enjoy tastings at 2 to 3 different wineries, depending on the pace you want to set.
- Lunch with wine pairing during your tour.
- Return to Dijon. Evening and dinner at leisure.
- Overnight.
Day Three
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Breakfast, then meet your guide and head to Beaune. Beaune has a rich history within its Medieval ramparts, from Roman times to the golden age of the Dukes of Burgundy. Enjoy a guided tour, including to the Hospice de Beaune, one of France’s most important historical monuments.
- After the visit, enjoy a wine tasting at a winery in Beaune.
- Return to Dijon with the rest of the day at leisure. Or, if you prefer, you can spend the rest of the day in Beaune and train back on your own (it’s about 30 minutes by train).
- Overnight.
Day Four
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Check out and private transfer to the train station.

The hotel is in an elegant 19th-century building and is within walking distance of the Dijon Cathedral and the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy. Rooms feature contemporary decor, flat screen TVs, free WiFi, and en suite bathrooms. The hotel also offers an indoor pool, steam room, and fitness room, as well as a bar and courtyard garden. (If unavailable, a comparable hotel will be proposed.)
