Something else is new in 2017 at The International Kitchen: we’ve just launched some new cooking vacations and culinary tours in Italy, including in one of our favorite towns, Spoleto! The region of Umbria is always one of our favorite destinations for our culinary tours, as it has a ton of amazing and unique local food products (from wild grains and herbs, to legumes and cured meats). And Spoleto is really one of the most beautiful and richly cultured cities I know. It has everything: a famed annual music festival, ancient ruins, gorgeous vistas, beautiful churches, friendly locals, and of course some of Italy’s best gastronomy.
Our new foodie tour features accommodations in a family-run 15th-century residence located just steps from the Duomo, but what we are most excited about – of course! – are the cooking courses! Each hands-on cooking lesson features the best of Italian cuisine and is led by a different chef: a Michelin-starred chef, a “Mamma” who runs a local restaurant, the chef at your accommodation, and a country cook in the mountains. This will give you a true idea of the spectrum on Italian and Umbrian cuiisine, from it’s most elevated to it’s most traditional and “peasant-style.”
Your guide and host for the week-long culinary vacation in Spoleto is an old friend of The International Kitchen, Richard di San Marzano, whose background in art, history, and gastronomy makes him uniquely qualified to show you the secrets of Spoleto.
If you’d like to learn more about this cooking vacation in Umbria, you can see the day by day cooking vacation itlnerary on our website. And if you’re ready to travel to Spoleto you can take advantage of our launch discount: 15% off for travel in February and March 2017! Contact us for details!
