The city of Reims in the heart of Champagne country, France.Champagne is just an hour from Paris, making it an easy and perfect addition to any culinary tour of France. Come and taste the award-winning wines on wine tasting tours, savor delicious French dishes and cheeses, and gorge yourself on French pastries. All while exploring one of the most picturesque regions in France.

Day One

  • Arrival at Reims train station and transfer to your charming guesthouse located in the heart of town. 
  • This evening, enjoy a 3-course tasting dinner at a local brasserie within walking distance of your hotel (beverages not included, paid locally). 
  • Overnight.

  • Breakfast at the guesthouse. 
  • Walk to a cooking studio near your accommodation and meet the chef for your hands-on cooking class. He will share his secrets regarding French gastronomy and you will prepare a main course and a dessert. Enjoy lunch to follow, of course with a glass of champagne. 
  • Afternoon at leisure. Perhaps venture to the famed Cathedral of Reims for a visit of this amazing structure.
  • Dinner on your own at one of the many restaurants in town. 
  • Overnight.

  • Breakfast at the guesthouse. 
  • Today enjoy a private full day Champagne tour. Your driver will pick you up at 10 am. You will immerse yourself in Champagne with a private guided experience of the Champagne region around Epernay, including a visit at the famous Champagne house Moët & Chandon and also at a family-run boutique winery. 
  • The underground cellars of the Moët & Chandon will reveal the secrets of champagne production, as will an exploration of  Champagne Avenue in Epernay and Hautvillers. Taste Premier Cru and Grand Cru champanges, then head to a private family-run boutique winery for a different type of tasting. 
  • Time for lunch (paid locally) during your tour. 
  • Return to the guesthouse around 6:00 pm. 
  • Overnight.

  • Breakfast at the guesthouse. 
  • Spend a bit of time this morning exploring the District of Boulingrin on your own. Boulingrin is the name of the superb covered market built at the end of the 1920’s. On Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings it hosts the biggest market in the city. You will find chocolate makers, butchers, cheese makers, restaurants, and delicatessens. 
  • Around 11:15 am transfer from your guesthouse to Mareuil, where you will embark on a private 2-hour cruise on the Marne river. 
  • Discover the UNESCO World Heritage Sites from the water as you coast along. You will also enjoy a Champagne tasting from a small winemaker and picnic lunch. 
  • Around 2 pm, transfer back to the guesthouse to pick up your bags, then transfer to the Reims train station.
  • Au revoir!
