In Their Own Words: Women Only Week Culinary Tours

For today’s blog, we thought we’d feature some of our clients in their own words as they talk about our Women Only Weeks (WOW)! We’re excited to be offering these special trips again in 2016, and are always happy to add new destinations, just let us know where you want to go!

Culinary Travelers on the Amalfi Coast First up? From one of our favorite itineraries on the Amalfi Coast: “I thought that Oasi Olimpia Relais, and the people that managed it, were superb. The location was ideal; close enough to a small town to enjoy an evening stroll (and visit the local 2-star Michelin restaurant, amongst other venues). It has a great view of both the Positano Gulf and the Gulf of Naples, and is an easy, inexpensive commute to Sorrento or Capri. But what made the difference was the people running the resort. Salvatore, Maria and Fabrizio, as well as other staff were so warm and welcoming, and their focus on meeting our needs was top-notch. We felt like we quickly became close friends, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I visit (and do the school) again…”

The people are always one of the key experiences of our trips, and one thing that is so special about our Mediterranean Cooking Experience is that you feel like you’ve come to stay at the home of a dear friend – a very lovely home, to be sure!

Culinary Travelers in the Loire Valley Another favorite, from our best-selling cooking vacation in France: “I have never experienced hosts who were so concerned about the welfare of their guests and did everything they could to ensure our comfort and enjoyment- I could go on and on about the amazing food, the wonderful lessons, the towns we visited, and the wonderful group of guests who were also there but it all gets down to Sidney and Alison. Every minute was focused on our enjoyment and they are two of the loveliest people I have ever met. I loved our meals together, loved all the places they took us to and of course, loved the classes!”

The other amazing thing about this cooking vacation in the Loire is that it is hands-down one of our most intense (but fun!) for the cooking involved. It is not often you get to learn from not one but two decorated professional chefs!

Culinary Travelers in Tuscany And finally, from this past spring, a perennial favorite in Tuscany: “I loved every minute of this experience! Chef Claudio is an amazing chef and host. We were made to feel so welcome in his home. The scenery and atmosphere were exactly how I imaged Tuscany to be. The meals he prepared for us defy description, so many dishes, each one a masterpiece to be savored. This trip is the perfect combination of cooking and sightseeing.”

We agree!
