Parma – Cooking Lesson in a Pasta Shop

Emilia Romagna is home to well-known Italian foods, including Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, prosciutto, porcini mushrooms, mortadella, balsamic vinegar, asparagus, piselli alla pancettta, and a number of other dishes, especially pasta! After being picked up at your centrally located Parma hotel, your tour guide, Laura, will take you to a nearby pasta shop, a source of wonderfully fresh pasta. With the chef, you can make fresh pasta particular to the region — such as tagliatelle, lasagna, or gnocchi — and a regional dessert such as “Sbrisolona,” an almond cake typical of the region.

After lunch, Laura will return you to your Parma hotel.

First and foremost Laura was exceptional! She was very knowledgeable on the area and answered our questions with ease. Her English was fantastic as well! Our housewife, Tiziana was dear! She was patient and funny and we had a very enjoyable time! Eric & Christie L, NC
