One-Day Cooking Class in Rome with Chef Sabina

Travel to just south of Rome’s city center to a cooking school near the Via Appia Nuova and the beautiful Caffarella Park for a cooking class with a personal chef, caterer, and food blogger, Chef Sabina.

Our one-day cooking course will start with a visit to a local open-air market to choose ingredients, followed by a cooking lesson. You will enjoy your creations paired with a selection of Italian wines. The teaching kitchen at her cooking school in Rome allows you a truly hands-on experience, so that you will be able to recreate perfectly the dishes when you return home.

  • Market visit and cooking class runs Monday through Saturday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (approximately).
  • Cooking classes with no market visits are also available on Sundays.

Please note the cost of the taxi to and from market is not included. This is approximately 40-45 euros (round trip) for 1 car.

Price per person for 2-3 people US$260
Price per person for 4-8 people US$190

Class Dates

Available any day of the week for a minimum of 2 people. (No market visit on Sundays).

Chef Sabina’s class is a must. We began our class with a warm welcome from Sabina and a cup of espresso. Then off we went to the local authentic market. In the market she showed us the different sections, produce, meat, fish, and best of all the bread section. She explained the foods, different vendors, and history of the market. The vendors were so kind. They even let us take pictures. Everything was so fresh. The fruit and vegetables, such beautiful colors. If you take this course I highly recommend shopping at the market with Sabina. You miss a big part of the experience if you don’t shop the market. After the market we returned to Sabina’s restaurant and kitchen. I first have to comment on how noticeably clean and pristine the kitchen was. I have never seen a restaurant kitchen that you could literally eat off the floors and ceiling ! Sabina was determined to teach us all the techniques of Italian cooking so that when we returned to America we would be able to cook anything there. We learned how to cream a pasta sauce without using creams or butters. Such healthy eating not to mentioned so delicious. I had my teenage niece and nephew with me. I expressed to Sabina that my nephew is a particularly picky eater and I worried about him and the class. Sabina was kind enough to put in an extra recipe for him. Not only did Sabina have him interested, but he was excited about participating. He raved all the way home about the dishes that we prepared and begged me to get the recipe for the special dish that she prepared for him. I can’t say enough about Chef Sabina. She taught us so much and made us feel like family. I want to thank her for all her hard work. I intend to take more classes with Sabina when i return. Sabina was AMAZING!!!! We had such a wonderful time with her! She was warm, friendly, inviting, and extremely cautious about my food allergies. We LOVED THE CLASS! Thank you so much for arranging a wonderful experience for us. The food was also delicious!
