Our family, two adults and two teens, had such a great experience. The itinerary and our guide were top notch! Both chefs were awesome. Our two children were able to participate and had a blast. They were trying out the recipes at home the day after we got back from our trip! Great variety of sites and activities. The van was very comfortable. Beautiful property, good location, great food! Our guide, Jordi, was terrific! He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. A great fit for our family.

Wonderful, beyond words! Joan is a fabulous teacher, Jordi was the best tour director I have ever encountered (and we have traveled extensively abroad), the personal attention was perfect. The hotel was lovely, and the room a nice location. What a spectacular way to be introduced to Spain! Betty K., CO

Enjoyed everything about the program except the cooking. It's was billed as hands on but in reality it was a demonstration class with very limited participation. Guide was good but more of a driver than informative leader. [Regarding the cooking vacation packet:] Packet was good but not accurate when it came to cooking. [Regarding The International Kitchen staff:] Minimal interaction with them. Sharon M.

[Response from The International Kitchen:] Thank you for your feedback! Our website has been updated to more accurately reflect that the classes are a combination of demonstration and hands-on.

Yvan and Yuki did a fabulous job of planning the vacation and then making sure that every event was perfect. They were also so flexible. When they realized that we might like to go to see how cheese or candy was made rather than go to a ceramics factory, the plan was changed instantly (which I am sure was not an instantaneous change, but it did seem to be to us). What was special? Look at our itinerary, everything ties for first place. However, if I had to pick, it would be the cooking school. The Chef and his assistants were a delight and the meals fabulous. It was a wonderful way to share time with friends and very relaxing. Dale A., CA

Yvan & Yuki were terrific. They were considerate, accommodating, interesting and wonderful people. We became friends. The cooking classes and all the personnel involved were great -- we didn't expect to have so much fun. The sightseeing also was very, very good -- especially Barcelona, Girona, Besalu, Iberian ruins, chocolate visit. What would we change? Give us a break in the afternoon each day. We left hotel at 8:30 or 9 am, and didn't return until 11:30 or midnight. Consider adding another day to the itinerary. Susan C., IL

We had a terrific time. Yvan and Yuki were fabulous. They were punctual, accommodating, and very flexible. We thoroughly enjoyed the classes. We learned quite a few new and interesting tricks to cooking. The days flew by. We loved visitng the bakery/chocolate store. The cheese maker was very good too. Some of the interesting sights in Besalu and the Market in Barcelona. We were incredibly full by the end of the week. The only complaint we had was the hotel we stayed at was a beautiful setting and the hosts couldn't have been more gracious, however the beds were antique not very easy to sleep in... Thank you for putting this wonderful trip together. Karen P., IL
