If you’re retired, or about to retire, and are thinking about where you want to travel with your new free time, consider picking up the book 65 Things to Do When You Retire: Travel, which hit bookstores and retailers back in February.

The book features 65 essays by writers as well as people in the travel industry, such as owner of The International Kitchen Karen Herbst. In her essay, she naturally talks about discovering cultures through food, as well as our cooking vacations.

“I’ve been moved by stories of people who say they feel anxious because they don’t know what they’ll do in retirement,” says editor Mark Evan Chimsky. “In the new book, 65 Things to Do When You Retire: Travel, I’ve included essays for a wide range of retirees – those traveling with a group, or with a spouse or partner, as well as those traveling on their own.”

Herbst’s essay on cooking vacations accompanies other pieces by the likes of Lynne Martin, Andrew McCarthy, George M. Taber, and Elizabeth Berg, to name a few.

Royalties generated based on sales of 65 Things To Do When You Retire: Travel will go toward non-profit organizations focused on preventing and curing cancer.
