Vineyard in the Chateauneuf du PapeProvence remains a top destination in all of France due to its beautiful views, olives, cheeses, and so much more. It offers the culinary traveler a wealth of lesser known villages, such as Tavel, known for its sweet AOC French rosé, Saint-Remy, known for its weekly market and the Saint-Paul de Mausole, where Van Gogh received psychiatric treatment, and Gordes, the picturesque town in the Vaucluse.

The beautiful port city of Nice in Provence, France. Not to mention the countryside that lies between them, where vineyards, lavender fields, mountains, and forests abound, and amazing gastronomy. Provence is a sunny southern region known for its Mediterranean flavors, luscious olive oils, fresh seafood, home-grown procuce, and more.

But it also boasts amazing cities, such as Avignon, home to the Popes’ Palace and the Pont d’Avignon, Orange, home to the famed, beautiful intact Roman amphitheater, Aix, a bustling university town and home to Cezanne’s workshop, and of course seaside Nice and Marseille.

Read below comments from some of our Provence culinary vacations, and see in the images what a beautiful destination awaits you!

“It was spectacular!!! We had a great time and loved Avignon. They made everything run very smoothly and the classes with the chefs were better than I ever dreamed. I think this was a new program for you but I would highly recommend it to anyone. Hotel L’Horlage was perfectly located and everything was within walking distance. I hope I have the opportunity to do another program through The International Kitchen.” – Dina & Micaela of our Discover Provence culinary vacation.

“Bonjour Provence was an absolutely delightful tour! Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and our local contact, Amelie Chouanneau, was extremely professional and one of the best tour guides we have ever encountered. Her attention to detail is to be commended. Our cooking workshops were educational and entertaining. Both Chef Yvan Cadiou and Chef Pascal Barnouin made us feel at home in their kitchens. We greatly appreciated their kindness and patience, and the food we prepared was simply divine! Our daily trips to many of the local villages gave us a good feel for the Provencal history and culture… This was our first trip with The International Kitchen. It went beyond our expectations, and we will certainly check their offerings when planning our next trip. If you love food and travel, as we do, this tour was the perfect combination of both..” – Jayne & Stephen of our Bonjour Provence tour.
