One-Day Cooking Classes for Solo Travelers
Many of our cooking classes and vacations require a minimum of two people to run, due to operation costs, but lucky for all you solo travelers, we also offer some great classes that only require a minimum of one person!
Italy cookery courses
If you're visiting the capital of Italy, Rome, we have a handful of options. Chef Daniela has studied the culinary arts in both Italy and France, and she loves to share her "home-style cooking" with clients. Your day will begin at a local market near her home before you head to the kitchen.
Or take a cooking and walking tour of Rome! After visiting some of the chef's favorite eateries, stop in the local Roman market (during morning tours only), and then start cooking in a stunning palazzo apartment near the Spanish steps.
You can also step outside the city of Rome for a wonderful country experience. Head to the ancient village of Mazzano Romano with Chef Fabio, where you can actually choose the eggs right from his farm. Alternatively, spend some time with Chefs Stefano and Clea, a lovely couple, who will take you to their rural home to make a traditional Italian meal. This experience even includes a walking tour of Nemi, which is known for its wild strawberries.
If you're near Lake Como, consider a course with Chef Gandola, a popular local chef, in his Bellagio restaurant. He'll not only teach you how to make homemade pasta but also risotto and tiramisu, for example.
Paris cooking classes
Over in France, the city of light has a variety of classes that can be confirmed for one person. Chef Dominique and Chef Frederic are professional chefs who will welcome you to their apartment kitchen after visiting the local market near Père Lachaise cemetery. Chef Marthe, a home cook, would also love to have you into her home for a class and lunch.
Last but not least, Chef Eric's atelier hosts a number of different options. Visit a market and learn to cook classic French dishes. Or learn about baking or bread, or perhaps even desserts!
Can't decide which class you'd like to do? Feel free to contact us any time, and we'd be happy to discuss these options with you.
