Chateau de Berne in Provence, France has always felt a bit like heaven on earth to us. From the beautiful countryside views, complete with the property’s vineyard, to the exceptional accommodations and meals, it has long been one of our favorite cooking vacation destinations. But the destination became even more wonderful with their recent renovations. Karen Herbst, founder of The International Kitchen, visited there late this Summer to see firsthand all these renovations that promise to make this cooking vacation in Provence even more memorable.

The renovations were numerous. A new spa was built to feature 800 square meters of peace and relaxation, and now the spa offers luxury treatments by Cinq Monde. Additionally, three rooms were added, all in a Tuscan style. As for the cooking aspect, the teaching kitchen now has a new look, and a wonderful kitchen garden and animal farm, which rounds off this very special culinary experience.
