Featuring France for an Amazing Culinary Vacation

Besides Paris, where we often have clients doing one-day cooking classes, pastry-making lessons, and foodie walking tours, two of our most popular cooking vacations in France are in Provence and in the Rhone Alps. Now is a good time to travel to France. The recent election has, according to our travel partners, created a positive atmosphere as we head into the busiest travel season. People are feeling good in France and are looking forward to welcoming you there!

So we’ll answer the questions for you. Why Provence? Why the Rhone Alps?

Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Provence
Provence is one of our favorite destinations: it is a land of sunshine and amazing produce, and a truly Mediterranean cuisine where olives, tomatoes, and herbs meet the sea and the vineyard. From the Cotes du Rhone wines to the fields of lavender, our Cuisine and Culture of Provence itinerary has it all. Wonderful cooking classes with Chef Mark (you can cook twice a day if you want!), and an amazingly fun exploration into the gastronomic culture of this rich region. The week-long itinerary includes fabulous cooking classes and also excursions to some of our favorite places in Provence: Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the villages of the Luberon, Marseille, the Cote du Rhone wine region, Avignon, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Nyons, and Suze-la-Rousse! Of course, some weeks might vary slightly due to local festivals and special events that your host will want you to see.

Cooking in the French Alps
Another amazing summertime destination? The French Alps to visit Chef Nikki of our Cooking in the French Alps culinary vacation. Our clients always get a special, custom itinerary with Nikki, including more in-depth cooking classes, but now she is offering our clients spa services for certain weeks: a 30-minute massage and a visit to a thermal spring. What’s more? If you’re a solo travel she’ll waive the single supplement, making travel easier than ever. Her husband is a former mountain biker and can even arrange for biking across this gorgeous landscape if you want a more active tour.

Are you dreaming of a trip to France this year? Whether you are a solo traveler or a couple looking for a romantic trip, one of our cooking vacations in France will provide unique and authentic experiences and memories to last a life time!
