About the location: Entering into the Midi-Pyreness region of France is like stepping back into history.
This is the area of stunning villages from the Middle Ages, mysterious old abbeys, and the Lot valley,
location of the robust Cahors wine, one of the oldest vineyards in France (dated
from the 13th century or perhaps earlier). Not to be missed are the regions' remarkable towns,
such as the spectacularly placed Rocamadour, or Toulouse, a big city
with the soul of a village, very friendly and inviting. This is also a
generous land, home to abundant fruit production such as the
melons of Quercy and the prunes and nuts of Agen.
In the heart of the
region, not far from numerous beautiful villages, is the Chateau
that will be your home for three nights. An ancient Chateau built from beautiful
old stones, it offers lovely rooms, a pool for the warm months, and cozy
fireplaces for cool evenings.
About the lessons: English-speaking Chef Cuisinier of the Chateau’s admirable restaurant,
Guy Herault, will welcome you in his kitchen for hands-on classes in the preparation of
the creative local cuisine. Each class will last around two or three hours.
