The hospitality, the insight into Catalan cooking, the gorgeous food (especially that unbelievable rabbit paella.), the views from the bedroom over the countryside, those beds (hard to get out of in the morning), the fabulous wine tasting, the walks in the mountains picking fresh rosemary for dinner, the visit to the monastery at Scala Dei, lunch at that trendy restaurant in Falset, the pretty villages like Porrera, and above all the cozy evenings at Catacurian just chatting and sipping wine... We left the Priorat so relaxed, so recharged.”

What a week we had! The location was perfect, quiet and relaxing among the olive groves. Clive encouraged me to be inspirational, and taught me the importance of the basics. I now realize that the good food does not have to be that complicated. Great holiday, thank you for your advice and support. I will be back again soon.

I not quite sure I have words to adequately express our wonderful experience with Alicia. Norm and I have not stopped talking about the day. We felt and were treated as though we were close friends dropping by for visit. The other students were lovely people which added to our experience.

Alicia was amazing. she made us feel as if we were members of her family. we made delicious food, drank glorious wine, laughed until our sides ached, talked endlessly, met lovely people, and on two wonderful nights danced for hours. it was an unforgettable experience in her stone inn that felt like home. Alicia is knowledgeable and talented and surrounds herself with terrific people. The International Kitchen staff was once again very helpful and provided all the information we could possibly want. Thank you.

Yvan and Yuki did a fabulous job of planning the vacation and then making sure that every event was perfect. They were also so flexible. When they realized that we might like to go to see how cheese or candy was made rather than go to a ceramics factory, the plan was changed instantly (which I am sure was not an instantaneous change, but it did seem to be to us). What was special? Look at our itinerary, everything ties for first place. However, if I had to pick, it would be the cooking school. The Chef and his assistants were a delight and the meals fabulous. It was a wonderful way to share time with friends and very relaxing.
