Casa Ombuto

Casa Ombuto is a Tuscan villa dating back originally from before 1800, and is in a totally secluded environment situated on a hill, offering absolute peace and quiet with spectacular views of the surrounding hills and villages. The accommodation is very attractive with terracotta floors, open wood beams and marble bathrooms with a very luxurious finish. It is positioned 50km south of Florence, 35km from Arezzo, 85km from Siena and 4km from Poppi, which is a picturesque medieval town situated in the heart of the Casentino valley.

The villa has 7 double bedrooms and one single studio. The romantic bedrooms have adjoining stylish marble bathrooms with either bath or shower. If you are a group of 3 or more we can arrange for you to have your own private suite with two or three bedrooms depending on your accommodation requirements. All the suites have either wonderful terraces or balconies with spectacular views. The accommodation has been comfortably furnished in farm-style teak furniture with great attention to detail and large living areas with fireplaces. Amenities include WiFi internet access (and a computer for guest use), laundry facilities (washer, dryer, iron) or laundry service, and hair dryers. There is also a large private outdoor area, the “piazza.” The cantina where the lessons are given is about 20 meters from the villa where you will stay.

The “piazza” is a small secluded square shaded by four very old trees where breakfast will be served, and dinners if weather permits. Just 40 meters from the house and positioned on a plateau with a panoramic view is the solar heated swimming pool (15 × 8m) with baby pool, Jacuzzi, hydro massage, and jet stream features. A recent addition is a hot tub made out of a wine barrel!
