About the location: With origins dating back to Roman times, Florence acquired the status of legend as the birthplace of early Renaissance art and architecture. With its red-tiled roofs and lofty domes, it still presents a remarkable likeness to the small, late-medieval center that contributed so much to the artistic and political development of Europe.

Its striking buildings, formidable galleries and treasure-crammed churches form an extraordinary repository of Renaissance art. Of course, visitors to Florence are also drawn by its top fashion houses, exquisite handicrafts and superb culinary traditions. Whatever your purpose, your stay at the Four Seasons is close to everything that matters—and perfectly placed to make the most of this enchanting city. Of course, the Four Seasons brand speaks for itself, and this new addition to their stellar roster of hotels is one of the most outstanding.

An enchanted city sanctuary in the midst of Florence, where an art-filled Renaissance palazzo and conventino frame a centuries-old private park. Relax amidst original frescoes and sculptured reliefs, graced by sunlight and airy garden vistas. Sip espresso under majestic trees, lounge by the open-air pool or bask in Italian spa secrets.

About the cooking lesson: Your cooking lesson will be held in one of the restaurant kitchens, led by one of the prestigious chefs of the hotel, all of whom speak English.
