Gourmet Sicily

The trip definately exceeded every expectation. It was exactly what I was looking for....a combination of the cultural aspects coupled with some cooking and tasting of local fare. Angela did an excellent job in putting together a sampling of all areas of Sicily. It was her goal to introduce us to all that Sicily has to offer so that the next time we visit, we will be able to zero in on the areas that we liked the best. All of the participants (restaurant owners, guides, private home chefs) were all extremely gracious and very professional. Our private driver was the most wonderful man. He was patient and understanding and had such a gentle personality. We felt very safe with him. He made our experience that much more wonderful. Each of the guides was fantastic!! Each was very knowledgeable in their area of expertise and each conveyed the lessons and information in a way that we could all easily understand and learn. Each of the chefs was wonderful as well. Each was very patient, very gracious and passionate about what he/she does. Doing Sicily on my own, with my mother, would have been very overwhelming and I would most likely have missed alot of what I had experienced with this tour. It was the perfect trip! The accomodations were incredible also! I loved every second of this experience and I thank you! I will most certainly be investigating future trips with your organization. And I will recommend your organization to all my friends and family.
Peg and Karen were most helpful during the initial investigation of the trip. Each took their time in explaining the various options so that I could make an informed decision. Karen was also most helpful in booking my airline and for that I thank her. Your staff in Sicily ... were all incredible! It would have been nice to stay in each locale for two days but then you would have to extend the entire timeframe for the trip I think. We would have loved to enjoy each locale for just a bit longer (Erice, Siracusa/Ortygia, Caltagione, Taormina, Cefalu, and Polizzi Generosa) All of these places were fabulous! I would have loved to have stayed in each longer, but I think the idea is to introduce us to each place and have us come back for longer periods in the future.

The only thing we would change was going to a different place every night. We expected it, but it did make the trip a little wearing. Otherwise, the trip was extremely enjoyable in every respect. Angela's passion for Sicily coupled with attention to detail ensured a rewarding experience. Both the cooking and the sightseeing were fabulous. We loved our classes and have made a few of the dishes at home already, where they met with great success, since the instructions were clear and easy to replicate with American ingredients. The trip to Polizzi Generosa was the highlight of our trip, especially the cooking lesson with Angela's parents, who are lovely, warm, and gracious. The other cooking lessons were good, too, though, and we really enjoyed seeing salt made and the cheesemaker's hut and the winery in Marsala. We appreciated the time spent seeing outdoor markets, especially because some of that was in response to our wishes. Our hotels were good, too, and we were made very comfortable.
Angela was beyond helpful and was always on top of things. Her knowledge of Sicily is extraordinary, as is her dedication. Robyn was helpful to us before the trip.

First, Angela did an outstanding job! She was in contact with us daily, arranged to have a cooking demonstration at her mother's home in Pozzelli-Generosa and was with us the last two days of the tour. Her driver for our tour, Salvatori was also outstanding! All is all we couldn't have dreamed of a more wonderful experience....and we have traveled alot! Thanks you for arranging it. It was all perfect!!! You people did an outstanding job!!! Thank you! I wouldnt hesitate to recommend you company!
