Como - Lesson at Culinary Institute

Just returned from our trip and wanted to let you know what a wonderful experience we all had at the Cooking School. The student translators were lovely, knowledgeable, and most helpful. The chef was charming and a wonderful teacher. The facility was top-notch and the food and wine were great! We all decided that it was truly the most memorable experience of our week in Como. I speak for our entire group, both women and men, when I say that we will highly recommend your program and will certainly want to try another one if the opportunity arises. I have been meaning to take time to write and tell you what an OVER THE TOP experience we had at our cooking class [at the Culinary Institute] in Lake Como. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy... The experience was more than I imagined and I thank you so much! The class instructor, interpretor and apprentice/chef in training were all so courteous, kind, experienced and patient with our group and all the questions we had. We were treated like VIP's the entire time in class and felt more that we were part of a very personal and special dining experience, rather than being students in a class. We were greeted at the door by our sweet interpretor, Linda, and treated like long awaited special family. The chef took us to the market and showed us all the special and wonderful foods and wines of Italy. We went back to the cooking school and were served appetizers and appertif cocktails. We received aprons, hats and personalized menus and brochures that we had each of our new friends autograph. We took a zillion pictures and had so much fun! It was definitley one of the highlights of my cooking passion! We made lots of tasty dishes and were treated like royalty while dining. We had our own personal table set with flowers and full place settings. We were waited upon like diners in a fine restaurant. The staff at the cooking school was most attentive serving us wine, clearing plates and taking care of us while we enjoyed the dishes we helped prepare. The food we made was just delicious! We had a lot of fun helping prepare all the dishes and finding out chef's special hints and tricks. The Italian ingredients were explained thoroughly and we loved cooking with them! We made traditional Italian dishes and understood the preparation of all of them very well thanks to our chef and interpretor! The Chef was very kind, patient and knowledgable. The interpretor was very patient and gracious and sweet. The student assistant was also very considerate and knowledgeable. I am very impressed with the professionalism, courtesy and entire cooking class. My chef's torque is off to all of you at the International Kitchen. I thank you for your extra time and attention that were devoted to arranging the special class for us, accommodating our group and scheduling such a memorable culinary experience for some ladies from Alaska! Just wanted to let you know that the cooking class in Como was the highlight of our weekend trip to northern Italy. Everyone at the school was outstanding and we would definitely recommend that you use the school again for other clients, where applicable.
