Assisi - Lesson with Chef Letizia We had a marvelous time. The renovated house was excellent, the views were spectacular and we particularly enjoyed Letizia and her family.

[The one-day class] was an excellent day and one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Letizia is very knowledgeable and personable (and a GREAT cook!). We had a wonderful time, learned a lot and had a fantastic meal.

I especially loved that Letizia in Assisi emailed us
prior to the class & gave us a choice of menus. She also spent alot of
time with us in a gourmet store teaching us about the local products.
Elisabetta's class [in Siena] was wonderful becuase we were with her family. And
thank God for Micaela because Parma was not a very friendly town & she
was a breath of fresh air.

Lettitiza was delightful. So professional and helpful.
Above and beyone what we expected and her hospitality as well as her
instructions were first-rate. We will recommend her to many to
follow. Can not wait to return to make the wonderful foods she shared
with us.

Just a quick note to tell you how much we enjoyed our incredible
cooking
class with Letizia. It was a day we will never forget. We met Letizia
at
the Assisi train station after spending the early morning exploring
Assisi
(which is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen). She took
us
to a gourmet italian food shop in Assisi, where we sampled essentially
everything in the shop (olive oils - each quite unique and flavorful,
cheeses, meats, truffles, biscotti and cakes, and two different
liquors.
All products were from Umbria and many were organically produced.
Fantastic). We then chose what we wanted to take back to her kitchen
in
preparation for our lunch and cooking class.
The cooking class, in fact the whole day was simply amazing. The
highlight of our whole trip. We made a couple of Umbrian pasta
dishes
(strangozzi con tartufo and alla Spoletina) and a dessert (plum
crostata).
Buonissimo! We then ate a casual lunch on
the
incredible terraza overlooking Assisi.
It was one of the most memorable days of my life.

Our cooking class was wonderful. It was everything we expected and more. Letticia was warm, friendly and very knowledgable. We enjoyed the visit to a local artisanal foods shop where we tasted olive oils, truffles, cheeses and meats that were produced in the Assisi area. We selected our favorites and brought some home to enjoy before our midday meal. The cooking class was alot of fun. We made fresh pasta, ravioli stuffed with chard and ricotta, and pannicotta. We selected the menu about a month before we left on out trip. We then ate our appetizers and our delicious creations on her beautiful balcony/patio while drinking local wine and enjoying the Umbrian view. It was a very special day. Gregg L., CA |
My cooking class in Asissi was wonderful, thanks to our excellent chef, Letizia. I enjoyed our little tasting at a deli and our very through lesson in pasta making. I picked up some great tips and our meal was delicious. My friend came home to our rented house and recreated our dessert! Jane N., VA |
