All About Umbria

I am a travel agent and this is the sixth trip our group of women have taken with The International Kitchen, and each one is better than the last. This was our first time in Umbria, and it was wonderful! The hotel is lovely and Filippo and Mama Giovanna really go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. If you don't know about Umbrian food and wine, it is so good! And shopping for pottery in Deruta is the best. The International Kitchen, as usual, did a wonderful job for us. Giovanna and her family and the town and Hotel Clitunno were wonderful. We had a great experience. The pace was perfect and the dining experience wonderful. It was intriguing to glimpse inside the cooking of Umbria. The people were totally gracious... Spoleto was charming. The shopping was low-key but excellent. We bought jewelry, bedspreads and ceramics. In addition, we took a trip to Deruta with Federica and had a grand time choosing ceramics. Dear Filippo and "Mamma" Giovanna, Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my cooking school experience with you and your delightful family in Spoleto... It really was a very special vacation, what a wonderful way to live in a smaller Italian town for a week, have personalized cooking instruction, and see so many interesting places with a guide and good company. Your hotel was in a great location and the service was terrific, especially Marco at our dinners. I really appreciated all your help with making this such a pleasant visit for me.
