Aix-en-Provence - Lesson with Chef Marc

Outstanding class with Marc, the highlight of a wonderful vacation in Provence. Marc provided the "whole" package - a trip to the market answering any questions about lesser known fruits and vegetables and preparation techniques - phenomenal setting - great recipes - and a "host" mentality of wanting to make sure his guests enjoyed every moment. We had an incredible time. Chef Marc was so friendly and engaging and the property where he has his school is absolutely Not To Be Missed if you are in the Aix area. The food was very interesting and different from what we expected. Provencal cooking is very mediterranian -lots of spice and flavors that made it so different. We all loved every minute of it....but chef Marc is really the biggest asset. He was just such a lovely person. He gave us a tour of his family's chateau where he has his classes and it is such a magnificent place- lots of chickens, peacock, donkeys and six dogs as well as roaming the grounds, an orangerie, and many out buildings as well as a huge spring fed pool, coy pond and adjacent farmed acreage that took your breath away. It was just such an amazing experience and well worth the money we spent. I will fill out the form as well but wanted you to know how great it is. Beverly G., IL
